Understanding Addiction to Cigarettes:
If you're like most people, your addiction to smoking more than likely began with peer pressure, or out with family and friends cutting loose on the weekends. What began as influence from friends to be part of the group, or for pleasure, over time it became a real problem.

But No More,  The Cigarette Game is designed to give you the tools you need to take back control over your cigarette habit. Just as it was in the beginning when you first started smoking. From there you'll be able to walk away from cigarette smoking for good, when you're ready.

Let's understand cigarette addiction and causes of smoking. There are any number of reasons why people smoke, and can't seem to stop. Listed below are twelve triggers that lead to having another cigarette. See if you recognize any of them.

1. Boredom

2. Hunger

3  Anger

4. Anxiety

5. Excitement

6. Nervousness

7. Sadness

8. Happiness

9. Anticipation

10. After Eating

11. After Sex

12. During Restroom Breaks

As you can see the battle to end smoking once and for all is fought on three fronts. Mental, Physical, and Emotional. This is because the Nicotine in cigarettes contains addictive, as well as harmful, chemicals. These nasty chemicals are either inherent to tobacco such as Nicotine, or sprayed onto the tobacco, such as Ammonia. Nicotine stimulates the central nAChRs which causes a number of Neurotransmitters to run wild in the brain, mainly Dopamine into the frontal cortex and corpus striatum, as well as the mesolimbic "reward system."

With habits come muscle memory. Basically, it's memory specific to procedures done regularly. It involves motor task memory through repetition. One such motor task associated with smoking, is one called Oral Fixation. This again is a part of the physical fight to end cigarette smoking. As defined by Google, Oral Fixation a condition of a person who has an unconscious obsession with their mouth. The person is in constant need to suck or chew. This keeps the mouth active or busy, which is a coping mechanism to release nervous energy and self- soothe.
